All pets must be up to date on all vaccines, and be free from intestinal parasites and fleas at the time of surgery. All pets over age 5 at the time of their surgery must have pre-surgical blood work in addition, to check that their organs are functioning well enough for anesthesia.

Neutering is a surgical procedure in which the testicles are removed in a male animal. Neutering prevents unwanted reproduction and can help eliminate negative behavioral effects of male hormones, such as roaming, marking and aggression. Neutering may also be performed to treat testicular and anal tumors and some prostate problems.
