Pet Surgical Services

No matter how minor or major the surgery, you want a surgical team that approaches every procedure with the same careful preparation and meticulous attention to detail. Pets requiring surgery will receive pre-operative blood work and diagnostic screening as necessary. We will address any questions or concerns about surgery or costs at the pre-surgical examination appointment. Cost estimates can be discussed at this time to help you better plan.

Spay / Neuter
Your pet is a companion, a friend, and in a real sense, a member of your family.

To reduce the number of animals ending up in shelters or being euthanized, we advise that you spay or neuter your pet. Our patients undergo general anesthesia for spay and neuter procedures. Although recovery is quick for these routine procedures, pets should rest for approximately 5-7 days post-op. It is essential that your pet does not lick or chew the incision site; if this is an issue, our team may send home an e-collar for your pet. Sutures are placed under the skin and do not need to be removed.

We also provide abdominal surgeries and various soft-tissue surgeries.

Surgical Monitoring
Patients undergoing a surgical procedure are monitored closely by one of our trained team members. Our surgical monitoring includes:

  • Blood oxygen levels
  • Digital blood pressure
  • Heart and respiratory rate and rhythm
